The system is split into 4 different types of control modules. The types of control modules are Power System, Atmospheric Sensors, Speed Control, and SMS Messaging. The power module consists of the 12V Lithium battery which provides power to the sign and the 20W 12V Solar Panel that restores charge to the battery. The Atmospheric sensors are connected to the secondary Arduino that collects the values from the sensors and sends them to the main Arduino. The main Arduino is part of the speed control. The speed control module consists of two 7-segment displays which show the posted speed on the speed limit sign. It is also the home of the Pixy2 camera that determines traffic conditions. The SMS messaging module uses the MKR GSM 1400 that is connected to the main Arduino. This gives the ability to send changes of conditions to a user.
